Automotive Technician

As an Automotive Technician with Ingham, you will be an expert across the mechanics, engines and computers of vehicles, as well as electric motors.

You must have completed your pre-trade course to start in this role.

To be an Ingham Apprentice, you have to be a keen learner, have high attention to detail and be motivated to be the best in the business. This course will help you navigate automotive, electrical and mechanical engineering for vehicles and gain everything you need to get qualified.

A combination of workplace learning, off-job training and self-motivated study:

• Inspect light vehicles for mechanical, electrical and electronic faults.
• Repair components such as engines, fuel systems, transmissions, brakes, steering and suspension.
• Diagnose and rectify faults in components such as engines, transmissions and vehicle control systems.
